Scott Formaniuk is an owner and senior silviculturalist with Tree Time Services. Scott uses his vast silviculture and reforestation experience to help forestry and oilfield companies reforest their land successfully.
Scott received a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of Alberta in 1992 and has worked continuously as a silviculturalist and forester ever since receiving his degree. Scott also holds a professional designation as a Registered Professional Forester (RPF).
Scott has worked in both the public and private sector in Alberta and British Columbia in various roles including as a senior silviculturalist and forester for some of Alberta's major forestry companies. Scott has been directly responsible for the reforestation of more than fifty million seedlings in his career and over thirteen million seedlings just in the summer of 1999.
Scott has also been in charge of carrying out and coordinating a massive afforestation program of over 100 quarter sections of agricultural land.
As part of his work with Tree Time Services Scott undertakes an annual tour of the major reforestation efforts in Alberta from as far north as High Level and Fort McMurray to as far south as Crowsnest Pass. Scott is in the unique position to visit with most of the foresters in the province and see what works and what doesn’t.
Despite being an owner of Tree Time Services, Scott still likes to get his hands dirty. He spends a couple of weeks at the end of every summer coordinating a major aerial spray program for two of Tree Time Services’ clients.
