Ordering timelines will vary based on species desired, size of seedling, planting window for site, and timing of order. Most reclamation stock is spring 1 + 0 or summer 1 + 0. For spring 1 + 0 stock orders are required at least 18 months prior to seedling delivery. With summer 1 + 0 stock, orders are required at least 10 months prior to seedling delivery. If seed collection is required, additional lead time is required (see “What are seed zones?“). For this reason, it is critical that our reclamation staff provide assistance in the planning process as early as possible.
