Carlos Avila joined Tree Time Services in 2021 as the Seed and Plant Material Manager. He holds a diploma in Forest Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Carlos focuses on providing internal and external clients with adequate quality seeds and plant material for propagation.

Prior to joining Tree Time Services, Carlos worked with NAIT’s Centre for Boreal Research at Peace River, Alberta as a Summer Research Assistance in the Boreal Forest Plant & Seed Technology Access Centre (TAC) and Forest Reclamation Program. Carlos is originally from Colombia, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering in 2008 from the Universidad de los Andes and a Master degree in Integrated Management Systems in 2012 from the Universidad Internacional de la Rioja. There, Carlos gained valuable experience as a consultant in environmental and quality management systems.
